SMS Terms of Service
Effective September 6, 2026
Overview
Mariam's Footsteps Inc. ("we," "us," "our") sends SMS text messages to staff members for operational purposes. By providing your mobile phone number during onboarding, you consent to receive these messages.
Types of Messages
We send the following types of SMS notifications:
- Shift reminders — upcoming shift details, schedule changes
- Safety alerts — fire drill reminders, emergency notifications
- Appointment confirmations — meeting reminders, training sessions
- Operational updates — house maintenance notices, supply delivery confirmations
We do not send marketing or promotional messages.
Opt-In
You opt in to receive SMS notifications when you provide your mobile phone number during the employee onboarding process with Mariam's Footsteps Inc. Your consent is voluntary and is not a condition of employment.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your role and schedule. Most staff receive fewer than 10 messages per month. Messages are sent only during reasonable hours unless an emergency requires immediate notification.
Opt-Out
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by contacting Human Resources. You will receive a single confirmation message after opting out. No further messages will be sent.

Costs
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Mariam's Footsteps Inc. does not charge for SMS messages.
Carriers
Supported carriers include but are not limited to: Bell, Rogers, Telus, Freedom Mobile, and all major Canadian wireless providers. T-Mobile is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Your phone number is stored securely and used only for operational SMS notifications. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Continued receipt of messages after a change constitutes acceptance.
